Sara Wright-Avila
Sara is a Senior with a major in Science-Business and minors in both Peace Studies and Gender Studies. She's from Covina, California, a suburb about half an hour outside of Los Angeles (an hour outside of the city with traffic). During her (awesome) three years at Notre Dame, she's been involved with the Minority PreMed Society, LeadND, PILLARS (a student run program through the Office of Alcohol and Drug Education), Lewis Hall Council, and FIRE Starters. She's interested in public health and providing health care to underserved populations. She loves playing tennis, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, Diet Pepsi, and the Jonas Brothers. She works as an RA in Lewis Hall, the best dorm on campus. As a member of the Core Council she is a major force in promoting a healthier, more open and accepting atmosphere on campus for GLBTQ students.
