Melanie (Mel) LeMay
Melanie is a Senior, majoring in English and Gender Studies. Originally from Coppell, Texas (a suburb of Dallas), and a former resident of Pasquerilla West, now living off-campus. She is actively involved in the Notre Dame community as a member of the ND marching band and as an officer in both OutreachND and AllianceND. Off campus, she volunteers with Bandlink, Read to a Child, and the Logan Center. Some of her favorite things include hummus, word play, reading, and traveling. She collects odd trivia and enjoys writing occasionally for various school publications. She relishes her service on the Core Council, giving her the opportunity to be at the forefront of creating an environment of understanding and acceptance of GLBTQ students at Notre Dame, and making this University a safe and welcoming place for ALL its students.
